Was born in Ivanov-Voznesensk in 1918.
He is Member of Artist's Union of Russia since 1947.
In 1938 passed the Ivanovo art school.
Among its teachers there were such outstanding masters, as M. Pyrin, A. Kuznetsov.
Ageev Mikhail - is remarkable painter. His art is deep and pathetic; it fascinates by warmth and sincerity. Perhaps, the most exact epithet to the picturesque world created by this painter - is the "heartiness". Intimate secret of home, aroma of spring water, a height of the bottomless sky, magic forest - sometimes crimson, sometimes grey, sunny or shady, but always inexplicable beautiful. The picturesque technique of this painter is very impressive. The light transpierces his paintings, there are overfilled by luminosity, filling heart of the spectator with deep pleasure. Favorite motives are hills, small rivers and gulfs, small towns and villages, heads of cathedrals and churches. The most part of his paintings is pictured at home of this painter, in the middle of Russia: Ples and Dunilovo, Tcherntsi and Koptino. The City landscapes also are various. At the same time Michael Ageev has painted excellent works during his travels across Crimea, Moldova and Kareliya.
Mikhail Ageev's works are in the State Russian museum and Ples reserve museum, state and private collections.
Ageev's oeuvre is intrinsically Russian, national, very human, kind and emotional.
