Was born in Severodvinsk of Arkhangelsk oblast. Very known Moscow sculptors I. Badova and M. were her grandparents. In 1985 Elena passed cum laude painting faculty of t Moscow art school in Memory of the year 1905 (professors: Shelegeda A., Vorontsov D., Karpushin J.) and in 1991 passed art-graphic faculty of the Moscow pedagogical institute (professors: Unkovskij A., Dobrynin A., Larin A.).
She is participant and holder of many city, regional and international exhibitions, including personal expositions. She was awarded by UNESCO medal, diplomas of Victor Popkov contest for participation in the international exhibitions in Athens and Montenegro.
She prefers genre compositions, landscapes, a still-life using oil painting and gouache. Her genre compositions and city landscapes of the Russian cities, like Kolomna, Pereslavl - Zalessky, Tutaev, Rybinsk, Veliki Ustyug, according to Elena, "are not invented, and painted under real impression". Possibly, for this reasons the paintings of this artist are charged with energy and attractive.
For this painter it is impossible to begin the work if she don’t feel unique dynamic - interest to a represented subject up to trembling in hands. As she said: "for the artist is extraordinary important the intensity of emotions, internal light". Innate gift of colorist allows to the artist even in frame of small canvas to describe enchantment and transparency of summer days, pleasure of spring feeling, sad fading of autumn on northern Russian plains and blinding bright oriental contrasts. Her painting is characterized by amplitude, luminosity and airiness, by epical meaning content. Lovely simplicity of the native nature and bright exoticism of orientalism are expressed with structured composition of painting, rich colors and sensitive intonations of the artist. Independently of genre the Elena Pavlovskaya's painting expresses joyance, sincere love and deep respect to imaging objects.
Her touch demonstrates this artist's determination to continue traditions of domestic painting. Her compositions are created with inspirational pressing forward humanistic ideal. During 18 years Elena Pavlovskaya is professor of painting of Moscow State Humanitarian University. She teaches her students to love plein air. The professor is convinced: "Beginning artists must know, see Russia. Its history is created in a province".
Elena Pavlovskaya's pictures are in the collection of regional art museums of Russia (Omsk, Khabarovsk) and Ukraine (Bakhchisarai), gallery "UNESCO-Club" (Greece, Athenes), and also in private collections of Russia, Germany, Finland, Italy, and Greece.
