Was born in 1978 in Omsk. Since the childhood he was passionate by sculpture determining the choice of his vocation. His first specialty - producing of souvenirs. Piotr has continued his education at art-graphic faculty of Vladimir State Pedagogical University (he passed it in 2003). His graduation work - sculpture of small forms - has defined the further direction of his oeuvre. For this sculptor bronze is favorite material but he also experienced with cast-iron, stone (marble), and with ceramics.
The bronze personages of Piotr Mavshov are unusually natural and touching by their naivety and spirituality. With his personages this sculptor expresses his attitude to the real world. Goodwill and delicate irony are reflected in each work of Piotr Mavshov.
The sculptor is young, undoubtedly talented; he has a lot of creative plans. In his works we can see not only skill of the mature artist, but also the personality who can share a lot with spectator. Piotr with pleasure shares his filling of happiness and invites us to enter into the world of true human values.
