  "To fix on the picture the beauty of Divine creations - from human being to animals, to remind to megalopolis habitants that we all are part of animated nature, to invite somebody to find his place in environment – that is goal of my work".

Was born in 1961 in Moscow. Since childhood was interested to draw people and animals. Was member of well-known Moscow Zoo young biologist's coterie (KUBZ). Graduated of biological faculty. Being naturalist firstly became known as animalist. She created collection of picturesque and graphic portraits of pets and wild animals, remarkable by rare expression and excellent knowledge of nature - personages of her pictures and drawings.

However notwithstanding her passion to wildlife she was interested in history, philosophy, human being itself. It explains a lot of portraits in her oeuvre, both historical personage and contemporaries. And among them - portraits of known actors, writers, businessmen, etc.
In 1990 she was co-founder of art editor and illustrator of dog-fancier magazine "Nika". In 1996 she was co-founder and art editor of magazine "New Vernissage", related to graphic and decorative arts, and in 2000 - art editor, columnist and illustrator of news website "New Vernissage".
 

Marina Efremova's drawings were published by magazines "Faces", "Yat", "Nika", "New Vernissage", "Cat and Dog", "Between cat and a dog", newspapers "Komsomolskaya pravda", "Economy and life", "Library capital", "Dancing Klondike", etc. In 2004 she illustrated the book of O. Arnold "Animals who treat us" (Moscow, publishing house "Aquarium"), and in 2005 she illustrated her own book of poetry "What is happiness? A string sound..."
Marina Efremova's works - portraits, genre scenes, and allegorical pictures, portraits of pet and wild animals - were exposed at many exhibitions, from small Museum classical and the modern art "Burganov-centre" to big Central House of Artists. In total since 1996 she was participant of nearly 40 collective exhibitions, including Central House of Artists (Moscow international art Salon), Moscow House of Artists (Kuznetsky most street ), pavilion "Culture" of All-Russia Exhibition Centre , Cultural-exhibition centre "Sokolniki", "Gostinyj dvor" Exposition centre (Ilyinka street) etc.
Personal exhibitions took place in Moscow fund of culture, Classical and contemporary art museum "Burganov - centre", Art galleries "S. ART" and "Way Art", Central House of Architect, Moscow golf club, Shchelkovo museum of local lore.
Since 2000 she is member of International art fund.
