Born in 1946 in the city of Maikop of Krasnodar region. He graduated from the state University in 1972 and the VGIK. S. A. Gerasimov in 1978. Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1982.
Since 1979, he has been a regular participant in regional exhibitions. Exhibitor of zonal exhibitions "Bolshaya Volga" (1979, 1985, 1991, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2008), Republican (Moscow 1978), 1980; all-Russian (Moscow 1978, 1982, 1985, 1999) art exhibitions.
Personal exhibitions: Moscow, 1996; Nizhny Novgorod, 2001, 2004.
Nikolai Burdastov's works have been exhibited at international exhibitions in Finland, Korea, and Spain.
Burdastov's paintings were admired in England, Germany, and Finland.
The artist's works are included in the collections of private collections and galleries in England, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, and Spain.
